Kayla Hits CMW Top 20, Country Charts

Nashville, Tenn. – Inspirational Country singer/songwriter Kayla J has hit the Christian Music Weekly (CMW) Country chart at No. 20 with her early 2018 single, “Brand New Ending.” The song is one of the featured tracks from Kayla’s brand new EP titled, “I Mean Yeah,” and has remained on the charts for nearly four weeks.

“BRAND NEW ENDING” was co-written by Kayla J, Aaron Rice (whose songwriter credits include such superstars as Mandisa, TobyMac and Rachel Lampa), and Corey Lee Barker (multi award winning songwriter with over 500 cuts and TV placements).

“The inspiration for the song,” Kayla says, “came from the testimony of my mom’s life. My mother is the strongest woman I know. Her story was not about how she started, but how her faith changed her life along the way. We wrote this song for people to feel encouraged and uplifted. I wanted to send a message to the lost and broken, that even when you can’t make a brand new start, you can make a brand new ending.”

Kayla’s edgy, emotion-laden vocals, and the inviting grove of the song invoke strong inspiration as you journey through the radio single, and leave you feeling hopeful for positive change in your personal experiences.
